So, I was actually born in the United States, but both my parents were born in the Philippines. My father grew up in Quezon, Candelaria and my mother was from Davao on Mindanao. They met in Davao where my father was working as a doctor. They got married in Davao and lived there before coming to the United States. In Davao, they owned a pharmacy that they had to sell before coming to the U.S.
